Statutory Sick Pay is the legal minimum employers must pay us when we’re off sick. It is currently £95.85 a week – less than a third of the £322.62 a week you’d be paid from minimum wage and just 19% of average weekly earnings of £512. We should all be able to take time off work when we are unwell.
