Apple cider vinegar weight loss: Drink helps overweight people lose belly fat in 12 weeks

Apple cider vinegar isn’t just a trend or a fad: it has been scientifically proven to help people lose weight. 

The Central Research Institute in Japan undertook a double-blind 12 week trial on obese Japanese subjects. 

It revealed the effect vinegar has on the reduction of body fat mass. 

The subjects were randomly assigned to three groups of similar body weight, body mass index, and waist circumference.

The subjects in each group ingested 500 ml daily of a beverage containing either 15 ml of vinegar, 30 ml of vinegar, or 0 ml of vinegar. 

Apple cider vinegar is usually taken in drink form: one to two teaspoons in eight ounces water. 

The results of the study in Japan revealed body weight, BMI, visceral fat area, waist circumference, and serum triglyceride levels were significantly lower in both vinegar intake groups than in the placebo group. 

Thus revealing daily intake of vinegar might be useful in the prevention of metabolic syndrome by reducing obesity.
