Weight loss: The biggest mistake ANYONE following a diet can make - it might shock you

Weight loss is a hot topic in January but how many of us fail to stick to the fad diet we swore blind to stick to? 

Fiona Hunter, nutritionist, food writer and broadcaster, has revealed what she believes is the first hurdle of dieting. 

She said: “Towards the end of 2017, The British Dietetic Association published a list of five diets to avoid, in 2018.  

It’s perhaps no surprise that each of the diets which appears on the list has a celebrity endorsement. Tom Jones, Rhianna and Kim Kardashian favour a Ketogenic diet, a very low carb, high fat diet, which excludes all grains, dairy, starchy veg and most fruit. 

“Those renowned ‘nutrition experts’ Tom Brady, Sarah ‘Fergie’ The Duchess of York and Gwyneth Paltrow extoll the virtues of the Alkaline Diet which claims to change the Ph balance – a concept which the BDA say is based on a basic misunderstanding of human physiology.  

“The Raw Vegan diet, loved by Sting and Megan Fox is also on the list.”
