Weight loss: Waking up at THIS time in the morning means you are more likely to be slim

Weight loss is mostly linked to diet and exercise, with the number of calories consumed wifely considered the most important element for those trying to slim down.

But there is another lifestyle factor that could be having a huge impact on the nation’s waistlines - sleep.

New research by bed manufacturer Sealy discovered the quality of sleep has a bearing on weight, and also the time a person wakes up is an indicator of their size.

The brand questioned over 5,000 people on their sleep patterns, bed times and wake up times, as well as their mood, weight and energy levels.

Their finding showed a correlation between poor quality sleep and a heavier body weight.

Those who slept worst of all were most likely to be in the heaviest weight bracket of over 16 stone. Conversely, those who reported the best quality sleep were most likely to be in the 8 – 9 stone bracket.
